After much deliberation and out of genuine concern for the wellbeing of our members, we have taken the difficult decision to suspend any choir activity for the foreseeable future, this includes the proposed visit of La Cascaiado from L’Isle-sur-la-Sorgue. We can only hope that this pandemic will be over relatively quickly and we can get back to singing. In the meantime, we truly hope you keep safe.
Welcome to the Penicuik Community Choir. The aim of the choir is to promote community spirit, fun and, of course, the pleasure singing together brings. We will be singing a wide variety of song-styles in a relaxed and fun way. There’s no need to be able to read music, but if you can that’s fine too. We will sing two and three part songs, the ultimate goal being to perform regular concerts within the Midlothian and wider areas.
The choir will meet on Wednesday evenings at 7.30pm in St Mungo’s Church Hall, Penicuik (dates displayed separately).
Like most organisations, clubs or associations, the choir will be self funded and in order to cover the cost of accommodation, music, equipment and a small fee for the choir master, a subscription of £20 will be payable on the first week of each term (this is non-refundable if you miss a week).
I look forward to making music with you!
